Poikiloderma is a benign, common and chronic skin condition which consists of areas of hypopigmentation, hyperpigmentation changes, dilation of fine blood vessels and a thinning of the epidermis in the affected skin. This condition is a result of excessive sun exposure and is best treated with laser and light modalities ,together with proper sun protection. We use the Coolglide 1064 laser to improve poikiloderma over a series of 4-8 session. Treatments are safe, fast, gentle and comfortable (typically 30 minutes) and performed every 1-2 weeks. There is no downtime with this procedure.
