Moles are growths on your skin that range in color from pink to brown or black. Moles can appear anywhere on your skin or mucous membranes, alone or in groups. Moles can come in a variety of sizes and will have a flat or spherical surface, spindle-shaped, rounded, with a wide base or sitting on a “leg”. Hair can grow on a mole.

Benign (non-cancerous) moles can become cancerous (malignant) due to repetitive injuries (by shaving, for example, or excessive sun exposure). For this reason, it is particularly important to treat or remove those moles in advance.

Mole removal treatment involves the use of lasers to safely remove the formation. Typically 1-3 sessions are required, depending on the size, location and characteristics of the lesion.
