This vascular condition is a benign overgrowth of blood vessels and can be located anywhere on the body. These are noncancerous lesions and treatment or removal by an approved laser is safe and efficacious. Young children are prone to develop these angiomas and we may elect to treat those patients who are minors only with a signed parental consent. Often a single laser treatment will suffice and occasionally 2 treatments are required.
