Rosacea is a great deal more common than one would think and can take on many different forms and intensities. A long-term skin condition that cannot be cured, Rosacea tends to appear around the age of 30 but can be shown earlier in some people.
There are four different sub-types of Rosacea, which are grouped according to a wide range of symptoms and levels of severity. Most commonly we see rosacea show up on the face, ears, neck, chest and sometimes the nose.
We approach Rosacea from a few different treatment angles with medical grade skin care, prescription topicals, and laser or IPL. Over a period of 3-6 months, continued improvement can be expected with reduced redness and noticeable improvement in dryness and irritation. Results from Rosacea treatment can be maintained with daily SPF and skin care and laser/IPL as needed.
